Sorceror build
OK fine, I'll be the first. My sorceror is just a little baby right now but she's a pure INT build. So far I've been putting just the STR needed for wep, and everything else goes into INT. You guys might be surprised but I haven't put one single pt into CON like I did with my other magic chars. So far with the hieros you get starting out and pots, she's only died a couple times when I killed her on purpose
At lvl 30 she got the lvl 30 molder wep and it DOUBLED her damage
I'm finding this class surprisingly fun so far, but some of the skills are a little confusing because they're elemental and I have to see what skill is best for different mobs, but her highest skill is only about lvl 5ish now so it doesn't matter that much yet and I have time to figure them out. She does have a few nice "regular" attacks and some of the skills look really cool when you use them

I'm trying to decide what type of stone would be best in my NS weapon. I could put a water damage stone to increase her water attacks, or I could use magic attack stones, or I was even thinking of a physical attack stone for an easier time with physical mobs.
Suggestions?

go with the magic stone dmg. if ur building waht i think it is.. is it going to be a 100% nuker? if so then the point of a nuker is to deal lots of dmg to the enemy before it has a chance to react. and that class has more then just water attacks. and i dont think a phy attack increase will help much..so i say magic attack.. (i had a 50ish psy on pwi for a while...)

Yes I'm building her as pure int - but her main attacks are water attacks, so I'm considering water attack stones to maximize on that. Right now she's lvl 53 and deals 3-4k per hit, unless she has a crit. And that's with a lvl 50 box weapon (Sorely weapon from lvl 50 Perfect Armament Chest) with no stone in it at all because in 3 levels I have the molder weapon from the token quest.

Re: Sorceror build
one attack you should always be using is your earth knock back attack..that is one of the best move it will need..and i would say magic to increase ALL attacks not just like the 5 water atacks that it has..

I do use that skill when the mobs get close, combined with my two main attacks - one is a water attack and the other is an earth attack.Grim_Reaper1 wrote:one attack you should always be using is your earth knock back attack..that is one of the best move it will need..and i would say magic to increase ALL attacks not just like the 5 water atacks that it has..

from what I read about the ns skills on eca virtualy all your attacks have a basic magic atk plus the elemental so i would go with the whitebrumes.

Re: Sorceror build
The biggest problem with elemental attack stones is that you only get a bonus while attacking mobs weak against that specific element.
So if you put a water stone in your weapon, you will do extra damage against earth mobs only- fire, water, metal, or wood mobs will not be effected enough to even notice.
Same concept applies to defense- water defense is great for FW for instance, useless for anything else.
Secondly, elemental stones do not add to "equipment attack value" that is shown in many skill descriptions.
So:
Weapon= 100 m attack
Water stone= 25 water dmg
Skill= 110% equipment attack value
... = 110 m attack power only (the +25 from the stone is ignored)
... = 135 matk versus earth mobs only
But whitebrume will be counted towards the equipment attack value:
Weapon= 100 matk
Whitebrume= 24 matk
Skill= 110% eav
...= 148.5 matk (the 25 from the stone is calculated) against all elements
Finally, even at level 10+ elemental soulstones do not offer much added damage to warrant the cost, and the lower level ones are even less effective in both function and cost. The only time I have seen them prove useful is water stones (as defense) for fishing and FW (since 95% of mobs are water based). For instance, cryonite curse is a water skill, so water stones can cut it's damage considerably (this might work in PK(genie skill cryonite curse) as well).
In short, go whitebrume until later, and then only use elemental stones for specialized purposes. For example, I have a cloak with 4x water defense stones fro FW, and have used bows with metal attack specifically for PvP; otherwise there is more benefit from the base magic increase of a whitebrume than that of an elemental stone bonus.

Re: Sorceror build
you guys might be right (and the math does nothing for me) - but if I ever get a 2 socket weapon I still want to try putting in 1 water and 1 earth stone. nobody seems to use them but they must be here for a reason

Hmmm... that's a thought.... Would be like increasing your own elemental mastery for a MG. Sounds like a plan!
