HOLY WF OR DARK WF WHY?

Okay here's the thing I cant choose between the aforementioned types of WF so I would like some insight wats better wats not wat works for PVP or PVE why when how etc etc..TY

2. At the top, select Skill, Database, PW-MY EN

4. Look at the skills, then at the bottom select Holy or Dark and see the various adders each gives if you buy skillbooks.

If you don't think you'll be able to afford skillbooks it won't matter as much, then it would only come down to the free Heaven/Hell skills for Vigor and Fury. Heaven skill gives you vigor, Hell skill lets you take vigor from an opponent. The Fury bursts are similar but there's a little difference there too.

I've always heard it said that Hell is more for PVP but I can't really say whether or not that's true, it's somewhat a matter of opinion. It happens all my regular chars (Jez, AdriA and tony) are holy but that's really because I looked at the skills, and generally I just liked holy better, so the best advice I can give is for you to study the skills to decide which you like best.

in conclusion holy wf is better for HH & TW while hell wf is better in PVP pk

Another way on ecatomb is go to skills then to holy/dark that way you can compare what each does for a skill instead of hitting the button 500 times to go back and forth

but apparently there are minor details that u cant know unless u try them examples: wf pet heal stronger if pure int (proly stronger if holy?) bramble array pure int wf reflects more damage but takes more damage compared to heavy wf who takes less damage but reflects less (hell or heaven might change this somehow or take advantage of it?)
So basically stuff like that is the confusing part the hidden secrets if u will

Hmm.. I'm a Dark WF with only a few skills, so i can only commented on those skills that I have.

Build : Robe WF

Dark Skill :
Fox change - i like the speed boost. Can catch up with WB in dungeons.
Envenom Parasite - wood defense down for 6 secs, not so bad.
Parasite Nova - chances the mobs will be cursed.

For holy the only skill i like about holy is the one with sharptooth effect. ^^

with sky chapter skill like stilled spell & rainbow parasite make hell WF more deadly

Holy WF:
Amp Maim damage increased to 30%
Celerity Wind Walk increases to same speed as Dark but also acts as a purify
Banish Malediction can debuff everyone within 5 meter radius

Basically, you really have to study the holy and dark skills and decide which you like best, both have advantages.


Also as Jenny said, the ISC skills like stilled spell & rainbow parasite are handy, I have both of those on my holy wf and always use rainbow parasite on bosses or elite mobs, and have used the stilled spell a couple times.

I have all 3 79 skills on my WF, and all of them i rarely use. Stilled I used at belial and last boss 3-3 before... i rarely go fox form nowadays so i don't use the fox rainbow much, and only on rare occasion when I remember to use it for human rainbow.

I guess main reason why I don't use them coz I cannot make a combo with them. Super lazy WF here.

I use fox form rainbow parasite, usually when helping on bosses - I go to fox form to amp and do amp and rainbow, then back to human to use my attack combo. If you're going to fox to use amp at all it's easy to do amp/rainbow at pretty much the same time. I don't have rainbow for human form because it made more sense to me to do it when I'm doing amp anyway.

I have stilled but I used it a couple times, mostly to test it out. Personally I don't see a lot of value in it but maybe under certain circumstances it would be useful. I see stilled as "nice to have" but definitely not a necessity.

i started to feel WF is boring haha.. i would prefer EA but i've never play any EA before too and no chance to try it

I just feel that WF is just too many in the servers, and not much slot for mine to do anything much. Mostly on EA or EP nowadays so I don't get bored with the game. My WF is just used to solo FB/HH or helping out with bosses.

I Like my WF... seems to be more useful in a pt compared to my MG. Nobody wants to party me for my MG so I kinda Gave up on her...
Quite surprised to see so many high level mages around though... I thought it'll be hard for them to level up to level 100... Really surprised... possibly they have a lot of cash to spend on Heiros and good armour...

I like MG in a party if they're what I consider "good" - and actually I feel the same about EAs. To me as an EP, good = don't steal agro and then die in 1 or 2 hits. If a MG/EA steals agro I'll try my best to heal them but depending on the situation and on lag, sometimes I just can't save them. I've been in party with some MG/EAs who do this all the time.... it gets frustrating and makes me feel like a bad EP but I know it's more because of their build or their eq or something, because it only happens with some MG/EAs.

As far as WF, I think there's always a place for a WF in a pt because they're the pro lurers, and they have Amp Maim and other good skills that are useful. I guess it just depends on the party whether or not they appreciate having a WF there.

or Jez if we don't need you to tank and heal-which would be nice if you didn't have to do both that way we can see if you want to bring your wf

Last time I was tanking most of the time (my party member purposely get me a hercules for that reason), so I don't get to amp much and stuff. And nowadays I seriously always forgot to bramble tanker or amp the boss. But since I basically get everything for the WF (except 99 fullset) so I don't use her much. Too many WF around anyways so my WF is not gonna be missed

I rarely have MG in party, but never turn down any if there is slot free for them. The only time that we have MG all the time is when my ingame hubby is active, he's always in our party.
