I can kind of follow his map, it'll definitely be rough at first. I was in pt with pkker and chicky and kittie and I don't remember who else, probably xan - and we tried a couple times and it didn't go so well but I think it takes practice.

basicly the party follows the WB and will stop at the blue spots on the map. EP will open there a blueball and the rest of the team makes theirself ready to aoe the mobs the wb will lure. The WB will first lure all mobs in the cave till that little room soon after the first blue spot

I know I've been bugging people about this for a while, but I would love to try this

Josh said he would help us in the first few rounds, and I'm sure Ryanz wouldn't mind teaching us things too. It would be great if the guild started doing these as a guild to help others get those SM cloaks and maybe it wouldn't be so boring anymore.

My Spring Break just started so I'll be available whenever I'm on (that is if i get my spring break homework done fast but I think I should.)

I'm not sure I'd be very good at luring for sm but I could try - but pkker did it before and I think he did fine? I'm definitely up for it, I've been on one run with DarK a few weeks ago and some of my friends have started going, but I'd like to do it within our own guild if we can, get our people equipped.

Well.. im up for it, tho i never been to any sm before but let's do it! Mostly, i'll be free on weekends Friday or Saturday coz that's the only time i can play at work

I wanna give it a try! So far I know nothing of SM except that almost ALL SM invites include the word "Experienced". I can almost guarantee that I can find some innovative way to get us all killed, but so long as we have a strong EP on hand. what the heck....

I often carry speed pots, so I can sprint at speed 15. That should let me run away from just about any boss.

Here are some basics for doing SM89 in fb89 heaven. If done properly there shouldn't be any dying - although some dying isn't so bad - but if the ep dies more than once they'll have to go back to town and that hoses them up for getting any experience during the run, so don't let that happen.

First & most importantly, the wb should know where the stops are to bring lured mobs. Study the map that shows where to stop. There are also many videos on youtube.com that show how to do a sm run, I watched some long ago but if you search you should be able to find some. For the wb - watching a video is optional, knowing the stops on the map is not

Also as a prerequisite - everyone should have vigor pots and any other pots they normally use against lots of aggressive mobs. Hieros are recommended since there will be a lot of mobs attacking you at once, but I also know people who do sm with no hiero - just know your limits and whether or not a hiero might be a good idea for you, remember that this is a timed thing and every time someone dies it slows the party down while you have to get res'd and rebuffed - not a huge issue but something to keep in mind. I also suggest everyone carry at least one res scroll since it's possible for a person to die while bb is up, and we all know as talented as ep's are, we can't res you when we're standing in bb . Also if you're worried about losing exp you can carry dolls, if you don't care then leave them in the bank.

Everyone meets at the NPC just outside fb89 heaven and buffs up and gets vigor. The pt lead talks to the NPC and picks the option for success mode, then "Collaborate" to share any earned exp with the entire party. This will teleport everyone inside, it looks exactly like the normal heaven fb89.

SM89 is a timed mission, the object is to kill a bunch of mobs and get to the last boss (you skip the other bosses) in a certain amount of time. If you meet the time requirement you get rewards and will get a badge, I think you need 8 badges (8 successful runs) to get an sm cloak. For those who don't want/need a cloak, the badges can be turned in for other things. Someone else will have to elaborate on that because I don't remember.

Doing the run itself is fairly straightforward:
The wb runs ahead and lures mobs and brings them to the appropriate stop
The ep sets up bb
Everyone kills mobs using their aoe's as much as possible
The wb runs off and lures mobs to the next stop, and you keep following that pattern until eventually you're at the last boss, you kill him and then (this part I'm not sure of since I've never personally done it) I think pt lead talks to the chest near the last boss? and that's how everyone gets their reward.

If anyone has additional info or if I've gotten something wrong, please correct me.

you can look up the npc on pwdatabase and look at his quests and through that you can see what items you can get besides the cloak

You know, there is (or at least there used to be an npc for them) success mode option for fb69, and I think.... fb79 (not positive about this one). Maybe someone could investigate because I've never heard anything about them.

well figured out why hardly anyone does sm 69 and 79-lvl range(I'll throw in lvl range for the others as well)

69 is for lvl 60-80
79 is for lvl 70-90
89 is for lvl 80+
fw is for lvl 85+ (yeah according to pwdb there is one but doesn't look like its fully there)
99 is for lvl 90+
cv is for lvl 90+

Well... we tried one practise run yesterday night... it was fun and involved dying
First of all... every pt member needs to be at least lvl 89... we went with a wb lvl 84 and his HP wasnt enough for all the mobs so we had to do many stops...
Second... read the instructions! that is why I brought the topic back.

SM done properly will not take more than 10 or 15 minutes... its something really simple we can manage to do practically every day. So lets try it out... the cloak is really tempting for those that cant get a Gauren one or HH or CVs... and if you are not interested in the cloak you can use the badges for something else.

NOTE: HP hieros are nice... but... I managed pretty well without one... and you all know what kind of death magnet I am Seriously, I died twice... one out of poison stack the other because the wb died and mobs ran away in all possible directions. So... that's just my thinking.

HP hieros are a must, the more deaths u have in there effects the end result

need nigons too and vig pots would help and tortlen for those who have all the agro

to be precise: no one should ever die in a sm run lol

Aren't there antidote pots we can buy from some NPC or something to prevent poison stacking?
